This sweet baby girl is beyond adorable. She reached out for me to hold her!! I melted….is there anything more sincerely sweet than a little one reaching out to you? Her cheeks were like butta (not to be confused with butter)…butta.
I wanted to play & cuddle the entire time of our shoot. Mom brought a smash cake that made Julianna’s eyes light up. At one point I thought she was going in head first….I was giddy with anticipation! She, being the little lady that she is, refrained & took to the scoop technique instead. Thank you for inviting me to share in these memories with your family Annalisa. I had a wonderful time meeting your beautiful family & can’t wait to see how adorable ‘toddler Julianna’ will be!! XOXO
I’ve known this family for 6 years….sIXyEaRs. WOW. Time flies….when children are involved.
We met when our kids started Kindergarten. Seeing the photos of Ripley was a bit of a ‘slap in the face-slash-reality check’ for me. I can’t believe how grown up she looks. What happened to little Kinder Ripley?!?! I hope my son still sees the ‘kinder version’ of Ripley…what are the chances of that?!? I LOVE the
photos of her…her eyes say so much! We had so much fun playing downtown….here are my favorites from our time together.
First rule of ‘Fight Club’…..oops!
Establishing an outdoor portrait location is the first thing on my ‘to-do’ list. Typically, the family is thinking ‘What will we wear?!?’ I like to determine the best ‘location’ look for the family based on what interests them. This family knows me & I know them so it’s always easy finding a good fit ‘portrait backdrop wise.’ Monica had a few suggestions too (which I LOVE–I had no idea there’s a South Austin woman who painted her fence with cool Octopi Arms + a spaghetti monster!). The boys loved it!!
My favorite location was the infamous ‘Hi, How are you?’ wall in Austin, TX. I LOVE the fact that Addison assumed the frog position…the imagination of a child is absolutely priceless! I find moments like that when a child feels comfortable to play & pose himself/herself the most rewarding for me!
Holiday portraits are my favorite! Everyone is dressed up & excited about the holidays. Mom is thrilled to get everyone together, done A LOT of work getting everyone scrubbed & looking their best, and has everyone bribed to the fullest to be on their best behavior 😀 Been there…done that! Plus I absolutely love the fact that I get to see the final product….the creative holiday cards that are the end result of a lot of effort. I get so excited handling each & every card to see the magic that lies hidden in each festive envelope. As a photographer I do honor my clients wishes to keep his/her session photos hidden until they have a chance to get their cards in the mail…that said…it’s torture for me! I want to blog immediately because I love each & every face I see on my computer screen! I am the luckiest girl alive to get to capture moments that fill my heart with such joy!
Each face *here* warms my heart. These children have been a part of my life since, well…since they were in the womb. I’ve seen such amazing transformations from adorable, super chunky thighs…to the super intelligent young people they are today. I love to look back in my wonderful ‘mind rolodex’ of images of each of them as babies & compare them to today’s look….Lucy still has her amazing curls! Wyatt’s smile is still super infectious. Sean’s once shy personality is now ever so charming…Serena’s love for her children is evident in each hug…she is an outstanding mother! When her babies are married & discussing their childhood…..their photos will say it all….mom played with them & was in love with them more & more with each passing day. Thanks for letting me be a part of your family memories. XOXO
Thrilled, I was absolutely thrilled when this gal called me up for a holiday portrait session. I love the holidays, I love helping clients/friends/loved ones make that perfect portrait for use on their holiday card! This gal is pretty special to me. She is my sorority sister (Alpha Chi Omega) from Stephen F. Austin State University. She’s always been such a beautiful girl & her babies are adorable too! We had a short window of time, but I caught a lot of sweet smiles & a family having a blast together. THAT’s what the holidays are about. Loving each other & surrounding ourselves with that love! I couldn’t be more thrilled to be there to witness the fun & be a part of their holiday card ‘in the making.’ XOXO
This family makes me smile from the moment I greet them until we are going our separate ways. I still remember my first portrait session with ONLY Macy…she took off with my heart instantly! Dressed in pink…adorable tutu…seems like yesterday! Rhonda always dresses the girls in super, super cute outfits. Some people are good ‘girl’ moms & Rhonda is definitely one of them…cute necklaces, cute hair accessories…I’m a ‘challenged’ girl mom 🙂 and I’m okay with that. Lola and I will figure it out as we travel down our path together. Rhonda had them in matching shoes….that says it all! I love cute family-isms & matchy converse totally falls with that realm. Take a peek & hopefully their images will warm your heart just as they have mine.
I had the pleasure of photographing a large family gathering. With everyone in town they only needed one thing: A family photographer to capture the fun! Their home in Onion Creek was amazing. It was so unique…the layout, the design…every aspect! I could have stayed forever & a day! The backyard was on the golf course-with a spectacular view! The entire family was in on the fun–including their 4 legged friend–enjoy!
